stolen from I am the poison | You scored as Scientific Atheist, These guys rule. I'm not one of them myself, although I play one online. They know the rules of debate, the Laws of Thermodynamics, and can explain evolution in fifty words or less. More concerned with how things ARE than how they should be, these are the people who will bring us into the future.

Taken from dani3 | Your Five Factor Personality Profile | Extroversion:
You have medium extroversion. You're not the life of the party, but you do show up for the party. Sometimes you are full of energy and open to new social experiences. But you also need to hibernate and enjoy your "down time."
Conscientiousness:
You have low conscientiousness. Impulsive and off the wall, you don't take life too seriously. Unfortunately, you sometimes end up regretting your snap decisions. Overall, you tend to lack focus, and it's difficult for you to get important things done.
Agreeableness:
You have low agreeableness. Your self interest comes first, and others come later, if at all. In general, you feel that people are not to be trusted. And you're skeptical that anyone else really feels differently.
Neuroticism:
You have low neuroticism. You are very emotionally stable and mentally together. Only the greatest setbacks upset you, and you bounce back quickly. Overall, you are typically calm and relaxed - making others feel secure.
Openness to experience:
Your openness to new experiences is high. In life, you tend to be an early adopter of all new things and ideas. You'll try almost anything interesting, and you're constantly pushing your own limits. A great connoisseir of art and beauty, you can find the positive side of almost anything.

Taken from lost virtue (Thanks again....)
This was a little dated, but it dealt with "Atheists being attacked", which was hosted by Paula Zahn on CNN. I know for many this can be a very complicated, and emotional subject; I think one thing to make clear is that majority of Atheists are not anti-religon; Atheists simply look to rational methods to answer questions about the world around us. I personally know that many people do not share the same views as I do, and I encourage people to follow their own path. I just hope people who do identify themselves as a theist will take the time to try and undersstand things from an atheist perspective in order to build bridges of understanding. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ffu95fORAg |

| You Are Impressionism | You think the world is quite beautiful, especially if you look at it in new and interesting ways. You tend to focus on color and movement in art. For you, seeing the big picture is much more important than recording every little detail. You can find inspiration anywhere... especially from nature. | |

Been a while since I have done a quiz.... | You are an Atheist | When it comes to religion, you're a non-believer (simple as that). You prefer to think about what's known and proven. You don't need religion to solve life's problems. Instead, you tend to work things out with logic and philosophy.

Kelly told me this one...
Bill O'Reilly said: "What kind of America do you want? America or Amsterdam?" Wow that's a tough one? Low crime, Universal Health Care, Marijuana Legalization, Holland does not attack countries that do not attack it. I have not been to the Netherlands in years, and it's not perfect; but the United States could learn a few things from our Dutch Friends. I gotta look around for some native Dutch people, and get their perspective on things. |

Are we all racists??? (At least to a degree...)
Last Monday on "Talk of the Nation" on NPR; the topic of Race and Culture was brought up in regards to the incident involving actor/comic Michael Richards (Kramer from Seinfeld). The guest on the topic was Michael Shermer who has written a number of books (Why do people believe in weird things, The science of good and evil; to name a few); anyway Shermer who I admire greatly said that people to some degree may have racial tenedencies. I consider myself to be pretty socially liberal, but I'm the first to admit race is still a major problem in this country; and unfortunately there are some People whom I know from one job I have who have some strong prejudices, which tells me this country still has a long way to go. Enclosed is a test, which was mentioned on the the show put out by various universities, the news article by Michael Shermer, and my results. Take a shot, and see if the test is pretty useful, or not. I would be interested in hearing what others had thought. http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/la-oe-shermer24nov24,0,4845406.story?coll=la-news-comment-opinionshttps://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/Study?tid=-1 |
